A&F goes Meow, Ruff, and Toot

We all know that a bird goes tweet and a cow goes moo, but I guess all a model for Abercrombie & Fitch models talks about is objectifying women and men.

In a parody of "What Does the Fox Say?" A&F display female models as animals and male models with their shirts off. Do they even know what is being portrayed in this video? I mean a lot of it parallels the brand itself.

All they are doing is objectifying women and using women as an object and animals. I guess the song is catchy (not really), but overall, it a strange and bizarre video. The video starts out as a group of models lounging in the forest with the females all in animal suits, and when they are shown in the clips all their heads are near the male model's abs. Are the female model's trying to display that all Abercrombie male models have ads? I thought that how we objectify men in the media, all male models have abs.

I think the problem isn't just the video, but the fact that the company Abercrombie & Fitch in general use the bodies of the ideal man and woman as the object to show their clothes. But lets thing about it a little. Most of the pictures that Abercrombie uses to advertise their clothing don't even have clothes on.

Even though that this a simple parody of a song, what does this say about this company? how advertising women as women as objects and males as human with abs change the way people see this brand? Abercrombie & Fitch is still a brand the targets its customer to the skinny, tall women and the super yoked and fit male. The video the just emphasizes the stereotype of "the dumb model" when I see women in animal costumes and males throwing a football with their shirts off, and it just annoys the crap out of me.

All Abercrombie Models can say is that they are used as object and for their bodies no matter if in a spoof music video of on a billboard for an A&F advertisement.
