DISCOUNTS are a TRAP!!!!

Industries are aware that in order to increase their profit it is necessary to SALES is necessary. Therefore, stores tend to have several days throughout the year when they have GREAT DEALS or Discounts, as they prefer to call it. The advantage about sales is that it customers take the clothes that is no longer in fashion which results in profit increase for the stores, meanwhile customers get to shop for more items at lower cost. As well, it makes more space for  “New Arrival” (clothes of the new season) and this way it seems like the consumer and the store made a good deal. However, in reality SALES are just a TRAP. The items that one tends to buy are often not needed. One thinks just because is on sale we are making a good deal but that is not always the truth.  For instance this weekend, I went to Hollister and I spend $100 dollars on summer clothes that at that moment it seems necessary since everything was half price. Clothes such as shorts that I use a lot during summer were half the price and that allowed me to buy 3things when normally I would only buy one. However, when I got home I realized that the clothes that I bought weren’t a good investment because it is fall and I won’t be using the clothes. Instead of buying warm clothes I bought clothes that I’m not going to use for about 5 months and by the time that is summer there is going to be another trend.

There are thousands of people like me who are easily persuaded to shop once one sees DISCOUNT, SALE, and CLEARANCE!

So next time you go shopping make sure not to fall for the TRAP and really think if is worth buying the item.
