In my opinion, Wonderful Pistachios does an excellent job with their advertising. As shown in the video above, they took a trend they knew was popular and put it in their ad so consumers could make a positive association with their product. Because really, who didn't love keyboard cat? You may have also seen the Gangnam Style rendition of this advertisement last year.
Another thing Wonderful Pistachios does well in their advertisements is they keep them brief and simple. This ad was only a total of 16 seconds long while other TV ads can last as long as a minute. This is effective because its short enough to hold the consumers full attention for the entirety of the ad while also lasting long enough to give the consumer all the information they need to know: buy Wonderful Pistachios. The simplicity also adds to its effectiveness because again, it drives home the point the company wants to make: buy Wonderful Pistachios. In each of their ads, they only use the colors white, lime green, and black, or the signature colors of Wonderful Pistachios. When consumers see this color combination, the advertisers are hoping they will think, "buy Wonderful Pistachios".
These are techniques I'm sure thousands of companies have taken advantage of time after time and will continue to take advantage of because they are clearly very successful.
