Do it for your Child!

I got to admit that while watching this commercial I almost started to cry. It is hard to watch this commercial and not feel overwhelm by what is happening to the defenseless child. In a few seconds this commercial is able to attract the audience by creating tension.  At first I was confused to what was happening but then I realized that the mother was missing. The fact that the mother is missing and the boy is left as audience we feel hopeless.

Personally I was upset because I came to the conclusion that the mother had left the children there alone. Looking at the little boy wait for his mother made me question myself how can parents ever leave their children. The fact that everyone around the children doesn’t help or stop to see why there is a little boy alone? It makes me sad how society ignores the problem. As the children starts to cry I feel that I need to go and help him out.

However, when I find out that the children lost his mom it just made me feel devastated. Now the boy is left alone in this world without a mother to nurture him and look after him. The advertisement implies that a good mother makes right decision and in this case quitting smoking is the best choice.

Overall this commercial was great because it really makes the audience reflect on the decisions that we make. This commercial does not target one audience in particular but all ages.
